Sterlite EdIndia backs digital school monitoring in Namsai; 133 schools onboarded on ‘Hamara Vidyalay’ app

Sterlite EdIndia Foundation has supported the implementation of the Hamara Vidyalay App across 133 schools in Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district, aiming to strengthen digital monitoring of teacher attendance and student performance. The initiative was highlighted during an awareness and culmination event held at the Multipurpose Cultural Hall in Namsai. The programme was attended by Namsai Deputy Commissioner C.R. Khampa, Deputy Director of School Education Pokdey Yomgam, and District Planning Officer Keshab Sharma, along with district-level education officials and school leaders.

Addressing the gathering, Pokdey Yomgam said, “Schools are shaped by the people who lead them. Accurate and timely data entry on the Hamara platform will help strengthen both schools and the education system.” District Planning Officer Keshab Sharma highlighted the role of digital tools and proper data management in improving learning outcomes. The event also served as the Hamara Vidyalay Appreciation Programme, recognising schools for digital adoption and classroom commitment. Four schools — KGBV Kasik, GSS Namsai, GUPS Tissue and GPS Bokabeel — received the Digital Champion Award for maintaining academic and examination data on the platform. Under the Committed Classroom Award, honours were given to GHSS Chongkham, GHSS Ningroo, GSS Manmow, GSS Kumari, GUPS Podumoni, GUPS Gunanagar, GPS Dirak Deori and GPS Ita-Bhatta for ensuring consistent teacher presence during the 2025–26 academic year. Each winning school received ₹20,000 along with trophies and certificates.
