Sonali Phogat’s autopsy to be conducted in Goa; family member suspects foul play

The autopsy of BJP chief and actress Sonali Phogat, who died due to a heart attack on Tuesday, will be conducted through a scientific board at Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Panjim. Phogat was once brought useless to the medical institution from Anjana seashore where she used to be staying.

Phogat, who had also contested in the last meeting election in Haryana on a BJP ticket from the Adampur meeting constituency, had told her household that she was once going for a shoot to Goa and would return via August 27-28.

Bambolim Deputy SP Jeeva Dalvi advised news agency ANI that the investigation is under development and a panel of docs will be prepared for post-mortem. Phogat’s family alleged that a day before his death he claimed: “something was off”.

While talking to the media, her sister said that Phogat complained to her mother thats he was no longer well. The sister revealed that the actress had accused her of some kind of conspiracy.

The actress has appeared in TV shows and films and was seen as a wildcard contestant in Bigg Boss season 14 where she gained immense popularity. The actress usually posts on social media and her last post used to be an Instagram reel, posted late on Monday night, where she was seen looking cheerful and in exceptional health.

The news of her death shocked her friends and followers and emotional tributes poured into her social media post comments. Actor Ali Goni who starred opposite Phogat in Bigg Boss 14 tweeted a broken heart to express his grief while actress and singer Himanshi Khurana expressed grief and prayed for the departed soul using a tweet from the actress.

Phogat, whose husband died in 2016, is survived for her parents, a brother and daughter Yashodhara Phogat.
