Skill India trains 1.35 lakh Yoga Trainers on International Yoga Day

Amidst the serene dawn of the 10th International Yoga Day, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship orchestrated a vibrant celebration at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. Commencing at 6:00 AM, the event radiated with the theme “Yoga for Self and Society,” resonating deeply with participants as they embraced the ancient art’s holistic benefits.

Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, heralded a monumental achievement on this auspicious occasion. Skill India proudly announced the certification of over 1.35 lakh yoga trainers nationwide, a testament to the program’s commitment to fostering wellness and professional development across India.Leading the charge are Uttar Pradesh with 31,018 certified trainers, Tamil Nadu with 30,952, and Maharashtra with 26,743, showcasing a widespread embrace of yoga’s transformative power.

Secretary Atul Kumar Tiwari underscored the profound impact of yoga on personal health and societal harmony, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a healthier nation. He emphasized the growing popularity of MSDE’s courses, designed to meet the increasing demand for skilled health and wellness professionals.
