To empower the retailer community in the states of Odisha and Uttar Pradesh, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), working under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) announced a partnership with Coca-Cola India today to launch the Super Power Retailer Program under the Skill India Mission. The program is being piloted in the state of Odisha.
The partnership was officially announced in the presence of Union Minister for Education and Skill Development, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, COO of NSDC Ved Mani Tiwari, and Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia President Sanket Ray.
Skill India’s program aims to empower and progress retailers by building their capacity in the modern retailing sector. It provides training to small and micro retailers, equipping them with knowledge and skills to understand consumer behaviours and preferences. The program aims to equip traditional retailers with the right skills to make their businesses more profitable and build their business skills, ensuring they succeed in the constantly changing retailer ecosystem.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, said, “I congratulate all the successful self-reliant retailers who have been awarded today.”
