Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has launched project ODISERV in Sambalpur to prepare young graduates of Odisha for employment opportunities in the financial services sector. The project will impart knowledge and skills to graduates, especially first-generation graduates, through Bajaj Finserv’s Certificate Programme for Banking Finance & Insurance (CPBFI) program, a 100-hour comprehensive training program.
The launch is expected to transform the skill development landscape in Odisha. The program will be launched in 60 colleges across 11 cities and 10 districts, including Sambalpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Cuttack, Khordha, Balasore, and Puri. While speaking at the event, Shri Pradhan said that Project ODISERV will empower the country’s youth, make them more employable and fulfill their aspirations.
The CPBFI program, in partnership with NSDC & Bajaj Finserv, will cover over 400 colleges in 22 states, aiming to build the capabilities of 20,000 candidates. The 100-hour program is developed with industry experts, training partners, educational institutions, and psychological health institutes. The partnership with NSDC will be elevated on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) to ensure students excel in the financial sector. Project ODISERV aims to empower the youth and bridge the gap between education and skilling.
