Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), emphasized the critical role of digital infrastructure in the future of skill development during the SKILLS Bridge Masterclass. Organized jointly by NSDC, ILO, World Bank, and UNESCO, the event focused on “AI-Powered Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) for a Future Ready Workforce.”
Highlighting the urgency of lifelong learning in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Shri Chaudhary stated, “Skills acquired today may become obsolete tomorrow, making lifelong learning imperative.” He underscored India’s commitment to fostering an ecosystem conducive to continuous skill enhancement.The Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) was showcased as a transformative platform integrating AI for streamlined skill development. Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International, alongside Ms. Shreshtha Gupta, CTO, NSDC & NSDC International, demonstrated SIDH’s capabilities to international delegates, emphasizing its role in bridging skill gaps effectively through AI-powered job exchanges and swift registration processes.
During the panel discussion, dignitaries like Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie from Sierra Leone and Mr. Ruben Sargsyan from Armenia highlighted the challenges of digital access but recognized SIDH as a model for enhancing global skills development.In Guwahati, stakeholders anticipate SIDH’s potential to enhance local skills, potentially transforming the city’s workforce by integrating technology-driven training solutions.The event concluded with a focus on India’s leadership in global skills transformation, positioning SIDH as a scalable model for sustainable, inclusive growth.
