Samsung R&D Institute, Noida has signed a MoU with The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for five years. The MoU aims to focus on key growth areas, including joint research projects by IIT Kanpur students, faculty, and Samsung engineers, aiming to help students become industry-ready. The research projects will cover health, visual, framework, B2B security, and cutting-edge technology areas like Generative AI and Cloud. The MoU was signed by Mr. Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, SRI-Noida, Prof. Tarun Gupta, Dean, Research and Development, IITK, and other senior delegates from Samsung.
The MoU also seeks to provide opportunities for upskilling Samsung engineers in key technology areas like AI and Cloud. The students and faculty of IIT Kanpur will work on real-world industry challenges and Digital India-related solutions, while Samsung engineers will be encouraged to publish joint research papers.
IIT Kanpur will conduct specialized training programs in various domains, providing access to the institute’s expertise, culminating in degree programs, certifications, and specialized courses tailored to enhance the skill and knowledge of Samsung engineers. IIT Kanpur’s Dean, Prof. Tarun Gupta, pledged to offer students and researchers opportunities beyond academics, fostering technological advancements and academic growth.
