Samsung India announced the Top 10 teams from its ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ national education and innovation competition, celebrating innovation, enterprise, and social responsibility among India’s Gen Z. The teams developed solutions to real-world problems, including converting seawater, identifying pests, food waste, beach cleaning, sustainable leather tanning, and accessibility for hearing loss individuals.
10 teams will star in TV series produced by News18 Group, broadcast on national channels and JioCinema, and receive Galaxy Z Flip smartphone. Three winners will win INR 1.5 crore prize money. The Top 10 teams come from cities such as Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, Lakhimpur and Golaghat in Assam, Darjeeling in West Bengal, Surat and Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Ernakulam in Kerala, Chennai and Delhi.
The top ten team names are Demeter, Hackvengers, Jalraaj, Milaan, Musketeers, NIT Surat, Releathered, TEG, Think, and Touchpad. Samsung, FITT, MeitY Startup Hub mentor teams, offering INR 20,000 for prototype creation, pitching, and Galaxy devices. Mr. Hyun Kim, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia is proud of its ‘Solvers’, he said “We look forward to how the Top 10 teams strengthen their solutions with the help of mentors from Samsung and its partners.”
