Rotary Club of Guwahati City celebrated 74 th Independence Day with COVID Warriors at Dhakin Guwahati Lachitgarh HS School, Garchuk. The celebration was done in accordance with safety protocols laid down by authority. To stop the spread of COVID 19 and also to create awareness about the global pandemic, COVID Counselling Center has been set up by Govt across different wards of Guwahati City, and among this similar CCC is also operational in ward no 6 at Dhakin Guwahati Lachitgarh HS School, Garchuk. Large no of testing and COVID counselling are done every day to help the people of that locality.
On the occasion of Independence Day, Rotary Club of Guwahati City has felicitated the Doctors, Health Workers, Teaching Staffs, Data Entry Operators, Cleaning staffs, Lab Technicians, 108 drivers who are involved with CCC by presenting them a Certificate of Gratitude for their relentless service during the pandemic.
“We salute those COVID warrior who had stood in the path of destruction and waged a relentless battle against the dreaded virus to bring new hope. It is Service Above Self personified” mentioned by Rotarian Rudrajeet Kumar Laskar, President Rotary Club of Guwahati City in his statement while felicitating them.
Before that, flag hoisting was done by Head Master of the School Sri Bipul Chandra Sharma along with Dr Bhaskar Nath, CCC incharge.
Rotary Club of Guwagati City has also arranged plantation activity in the school premises in which different saplings of fruits and herbal benefits were planted.
In their speech both, Dr Bhaskar Nath & Sri Bipul Chandra Sharma has expressed their gratitude towards Rotary Club of Guwahati City for this noble gesture.
