On August 26, 2008, Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Oragadam, a rapidly developing automotive cluster near Chennai. Fast forward 15 years and RNAIPL has now established itself as a leading automotive manufacturer having produced over 2.5 million Renault and Nissan cars in India for domestic and export markets. The plant is also set to continue its exciting journey as it looks to roll out six new models, including two EVs, over the next few years.
RNAIPL, the first Renault Nissan Alliance manufacturing plant, achieved 15 milestones in 15 years, including manufacturing over 2.5 million vehicles, contributing to the local economy with 1.15 million exported, focusing on sustainable operations, and supporting local communities with CSR initiatives reaching over 100,000 people.Keerthi Prakash, Managing Director of RNAIPL, said:“We remain committed to bringing the best of Nissan and Renault’s products to customers in India and abroad while at the same time reducing the impact of our operations on the environment and supporting the sustainable development of our local communities.”
