Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ clocks biggest second Saturday collection of all time, surpasses Gadar 2, Jawan

Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has become the biggest second-Saturday grosser of all time. The movie released on December 1, features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra. The action drama continued its powerful run at the box office on Saturday and earned Rs 32.47 crore.

The film surpassed Gadar 2 and Jawan in terms of second Saturday collections. Gadar 2 had earned Rs 31.07 crore whereas Jawan was able to collect Rs 30.1 crore. Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion made Rs 26.5 crore on the second Saturday, as per the entertainment tracking site Sacnilk.

Production house T-Series posted the collection update of “Animal” on X, writing that the film’s worldwide gross stood at Rs 660.89 crore. “#Animal Roars Louder,” the banner captioned the post.

The movie presents a story which shows an aggressive world set against the backdrop of a disturbed relationship between Ranvijay Singh(Ranbir Kapoor) and his father Balbir Singh(Anil Kapoor).

While it is breaking record in theatres, a section of critics and viewers have slammed “Animal”, calling it misogynistic and graphically violent.
