The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially nominated Rajib Bhattacharya, the party’s state President in Tripura, as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat representing the state. The election for this lone Rajya Sabha seat is scheduled for September 3. On Monday, Bhattacharya, alongside Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, traveled to Delhi to confer with BJP central leadership and Home Minister Amit Shah. This visit was pivotal in securing his nomination.
Rajib Bhattacharjee expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the party’s state president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda for his nomination. In his message, he conveyed his eternal gratitude for the trust placed in him and his commitment to working towards making India a global leader and improving Tripura.
