The Budget Session (2022-23) of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly will begin on August 10, Speaker R Selvam said.
He said the session would begin with the customary address by Lt. Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan.
The House took up a vote on the account bill in its last session on March 30 and allocated Rs 3613.66 crore to the government to meet the routine expenditure for the first five months (April to August) of the fiscal year 2022-23.
Also, the Speaker said that the date on which Chief Minister N Rangasamy will present the budget will be decided by the Business Advisory Committee.
