In a joint operation with the Bihar Police, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Saturday arrested one of the most wanted gangsters of the eastern state.
The accused’s name is Azad Ali (43), a resident of Bihar’s Siwan district.
The city police received information that a gangster from Bihar, involved in a sensational shootout during the state assembly elections, was hiding in Delhi-NCR.
According to information, the police were informed on Friday that Ali would meet one of his associates at a place near Ring Road, Rajghat. At around 11:15 am, Ali was spotted and arrested after a brief altercation, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Jasmeet Singh said.
Ali was wanted in a case of firing in Siwan on April 4.
