Pipe bombs to target CRPF in Dantewada were found

On Tuesday, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel recovered two powerful improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
According to the investigation, the Maoists buried the explosive devices in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.


These explosives found are called pipe bombs. The IEDs were packed in iron pipes and those each weighed 10 kg. The suspect was spotted on Monday when a team of the 231st Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) went on a road safety operation.

According to reports, CRPF personnel stationed at Karaguda camp have recovered IEDs in the area several times.
