On Friday, a meeting was held to prevent flood situations in Assam in the presence of Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika and other engineers of the water resources department.
The focus of the meeting was prevent Assam from flood situations, repair 41 damaged sites and focus on the ongoing construction of ring bunds, sluice gates and other structures.
Water Resources Minister Pijush also announced no permanent work of the water resource department would be carried out from May 15 to October, only temporary works will be carried out.
