PFC creates Energy Efficiency Awareness

On the birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, State-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC), the leading NBFC in India’s power sector celebrated ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’ to mark 75 years of India’s Independence, by conducting Energy Efficiency drives. The drives were conducted at two locations – 40MW New Umptru Hydro Power Plant (funded by PFC) and Byrnihat Inspection Bunglow in Meghalaya.

Along with Shri Praveen Kumar Singh, Director (Commercial) and Additional Charge Director (Projects) of PFC, Shri Ravinder Singh Dhillon, CMD of PFC distributed around 250 LED Bulbs to children of local community. Shri R. Rahman, Executive Director (CSR & PR) along with senior officials of MEPCL and PFC were also present on the occasion. Shri S. S. Rao, Chief General Manager (PR) said, in the recent past PFC has conducted various events in different parts of the country, as part of ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav’.

In line with PFC’s commitment towards Green Energy, the awareness drives were organised for children and women from local community of RiBhoi area of Meghalaya aiming to make them aware about how usage of LEDs can significantly reduce energy consumption and saves money by lowering their electricity bills.
