Digital payments brand Ongo has partnered with India’s leading conglomerate, Patanjali Ayurved Limited, to launch open-loop cobranded Rupay Prepaid Cards. These prepaid cards can be accepted on any device on the Rupay network across India.
The Co-founder and MD of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd., Acharya Balkrishna, said that customers will gain exclusive benefits across Patanjali’s products and services across Patanjali stores and experience unparalleled convenience at all RuPay acceptance points across the country.
Patanjali-Ongo cobranded cards will earn rewards on purchases of Patanjali products and can be used for various other payments, including shopping, dining, fueling, and e-commerce. The cards also feature the NCMC feature, allowing seamless use of transit services like Metro, Buses, Toll, and Parking across the country. Enrollment can be done via the Ongo app or by visiting Patanjali stores. Ongo holds a PPI license from the RBI, enabling it to issue open-loop prepaid instruments like prepaid cards and wallets.
