NSDC, LESDE, and Medhavi Skills collaborated  to develop an international center for innovation and skills excellence in Mizoram

An MoU was signed today by the NSDC, the LESDE department of the Government of Mizoram, and the Sikkim-based Medhavi Skills University to establish an international center for innovation, and skills excellence in Mizoram to train young people and help them pursue careers in hospitality, tourism, and related fields. The collaboration focuses on knowledge sharing, course development, trainer skill sets, benchmarked standard training, and state-of-the-art infrastructure to upskill residential youth.

The MoU was signed to create an industry-aligned skill training ecosystem to benefit students in the hospitality and tourism sectors. It aims to widen emerging talent, foster academic knowledge, and improve job readiness. The MoU was exchanged between Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International; Kuldip Sarma Pro-Chancellor, MSU and Shri LalramsangaSailo, Secretary, LESDE.

NSDC will connect the Centre of Excellence (CoE) with employers to improve overseas job placements, LESDE will provide guidance and advisory support, and MSU will oversee enrolment, counseling, shortlisting, coordinating with overseas employers, and imparting high-quality skill training to candidates.Speaking on the collaboration, Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International said, “The collaboration between NSDC, LESDE, and MSU will serve as a catalyst in enhancing the skill sets of the aspiring students.”
