In a concerted effort to equip the youth with the requisite skills for the future job market, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), in partnership with Ethnotech Academic Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, has unveiled the Centre for Future Skills in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. This pioneering initiative aims to elevate the capabilities of young individuals in emerging technologies, aligning with the vision of a prosperous India by 2047.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Shri. Subhas Sarkar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Higher Education, Government of India, and Shri. Umesh Jadhav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, among other dignitaries. Highlighting the significance of the centre, Shri. Subhas Sarkar emphasized its role in preparing the youth for the evolving job landscape, resonating with the national goal of positioning India as a global hub of skilled human resources. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD NSDC International, underscored the rapid technological advancements driving the need for upskilling in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. The Centre for Future Skills will offer short-term certification courses in collaboration with global corporate giants like Microsoft, CISCO, and AWS, ensuring the students are adept in the latest technologies demanded by the industry.
This initiative aligns seamlessly with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to education and practical skill integration. By fostering a dynamic learning environment and industry collaboration, the centre aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands.
