Nitish Kumar condemned for Poisonous liquor death, Says “If You Drink, You’ll Die”

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today ruled out the possibility of compensating the families of those killed by fake liquor and said people should be “more cautious” whenever prohibition has been in place in the state from the year 2016.
More than 30 people have died in Saran district in the latest tragedy, and the JDU-RJD government has faced protests from the BJP in and outside the assembly over alleged laxity in enforcing the ban.

“Those who drink alcohol will surely die. We have an example in this case,” Mr. Kumar answered a question. In Patna, the claim for compensation in earlier cases referred to:

Earlier this week, Nitish Kumar lost his cool in the Assembly and quipped “you are drunk” at BJP members earlier this week.

Today, he said, “We are running a massive social awareness campaign.”

He argued that even if there was no prohibition, people would die after consuming poisoned liquor. “A large number of people have died in other states as well,” he added.

The same kind of deaths has occurred in recent years in Gujarat, another banned state, and Punjab.

“You know what Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi) said (in favor of prohibition), and what studies show all over the world – they have been sent to all people’s homes – how liquor is a bad thing, how many people die because of it. It. has been poisonous for a long time. People are dying because of alcohol, and it’s happening all over the country,” he said.

“We have taken strict measures, but people have to be more careful. When there is a ban, there will obviously be something wrong with the liquor being sold,” he added.

“Also, remember, you shouldn’t drink alcohol anyway. Most people agree with the principle of prohibition. But some people will be wrong,” he argued.

Meanwhile, Minister Sunil Kumar said that the government will take tight action against the people are responsible for this death.
