West Bengal reports all-time high of 24,287 Covid-19 cases

West Bengal health department on Sunday reported an all-time high of 24,287 new cases of Covid-19 infections, the highest since the first wave of infections hit the country in 2020. Kolkata registered the highest number of new cases at 8,712 compared to 7,337 cases on Saturday. The state's positivity rate stands at 33.89%, while Kolkata's positivity rate stands at 41.93%. India has logged 90,928 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate is at 4.18 per cent the Union Health Ministry informed on Thursday.
