Crackdown in Darrang: 14 Illegal money lenders arrested

Darrang Police operated illegal money lending crack down various locations of the districts, under Dalgaon and Kharupetia police stations. According to the reports, Police arrested 14 individuals involved in the exploitative practice of illegal money lending. The accused took advantage of the public by imposing exorbitant interest rates, causing financial distress to the borrowers. Also police seized Rs 8.70 lakh from the accused possession. Assam to introduce OMR sheets for HSLC examination

Assam's one of the biggest High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations has begun from 16 February and the examination is set to conclude on March 16, 2024. Assam budget tabled with new majors, no additional tax

4.58 crore revenue from tourists visited Assam

Assam's Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve both national parks of Assam has witnessed highest number of tourist for 2023-24 seasons. According to the reports, during the month of October 2023, 17,662 people visited the park, November 2023, 40,242 tourists, December 2023, 65,000 people and January 2024, 52,000 tourists visited the national park.
