Ram temple construction in Ayodhya is all set to begin from Wednesday (June 10) after an elaborate 'Rudra Abhishek' ceremony. The construction work commencement ceremony will be attended by a limited number of persons and will be held at the Kuber Tila temple, amid coronavirus outbreak. The rudrabhishek ritual follows the tradition set by Lord Ram, who prayed to Shiva before launching an attack on Lanka, said Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, spokesperson for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust head Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone into self-quarantine after developing sore throat and fever, and will gethimself tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday, officials said on Monday. Delhi govt, private hospitals to be reserved for residents only.

As complaints mounted on social media of poor treatment at Delhi’s hospitals, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Sunday that all government and private hospitals in the city would only treat Delhi residents till the rising COVID-19 cases are contained. Five militants killed in encounter with security forces in Shopian.

There has been an increase in anti-militancy operations in the Valley since April. Three unidentified militants were on Sunday killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
