Earthquake tremors felt in the region of Assam

On Thursday, Guwahati, Assam has witnessed earthquake measures 3.5 on the Richter scale, the tremors were felt in the region at 5:42 am.The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the epicenter was located at latitude of 26.63 and a longitude of 92.08, with the NCS indicating that the tremors occurred at a depth of 5 km. Supreme Court begins hearing on Sec 6A of Assam

SC Constitution bench begins hearing for Assam migrants

Assam Rifles found weapon smuggling in Manipur

An operation was carried out in Manipur by Assam Rifles in collaboration with local police of the state to detect weapon smuggling since the violence hit on Monday. According to the sources, the operation was carried out in the Loiching range of Kangpokpi, Manipur in which the authorities have successfully caught a cache of illegal weapons and war-related supplies. The illegal weapons that were smuggled into that state included an AK-56 rifle with two magazines, a single-shot barrel rifle, a Chinese grenade, a mortar round, 100 rounds of AK-56 ammunition, and seven fired cases from a single-shot barrel rifle.

Manipur violence hit: Students to be given options to continue studies

Govt decides to reserve seats in state run engineering colleges

Assam Government issues suspension notice for 21 APSC officers
