The Drugs Control Administration of Tripura has taken stringent action against 372 pharmacies, revoking the licenses of 154 shops for violating regulations, including selling contraband drugs in 2024. Speaking at a training program on drug sampling and investigation in Agartala, Deputy Drugs Controller Kanchan Singh revealed that 3,589 drug samples were tested last year, far exceeding the 1,200-sample target, with 21 found to be substandard. Additionally, 3,203 medical shops, including government and hospital stores, were inspected. “We took action against 372 shops for violations, including the sale of contraband drugs.
