Man allegedly beaten to death in Assam on suspicion of cow theft

A 34-year-old man was beaten to death in a village in Tinsukia district of Assam by a mob that suspected him of being a cow thief and the police have arrested 12 people in connection with the incident. The incident took place at Korjonga village in the district and the victim has been identified as Sarat Moran. IIT Guwahati has been ranked 41st on the list of QS World University Rankings 2022
