Assam: State unit of Congress approaches Court on legislators disqualification

The state unit of Congress party, Bhupen Borah has said that Assam Congress is keen to disqualify five MLAs from the party for openly support BJP without any resignation. To reports the five legislators are Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, Sifdeque Ahmed, Shahilanta Das, Basanta Das and Sherman Ali Ahmed. Bhupen Borah said, "We are looking for a decision to come from the Speaker of the Assembly. If he refuses to take any action against the five MLAs, we will approach the Court."
