Taliban prohibits beardless government employees entry to offices

The Taliban barred beardless civil servants from entering their offices in Afghanistan on Monday. Eyewitnesses said that representatives of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Vice Ministry of Propaganda and Prevention blocked the entry of Finance Ministry staff because they were beardless.The employees were allowed to enter the ministry after they wore hats as recommended by the Taliban representatives. Russian shelling hit a 10-storey apartment building in Kiev, leaving one person injured, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said. The World Bank approved a USD 723 million packages of loans and grants for Ukraine, providing government budget support amid the all-out conflict with Russia.
