No plan to ban alcohol in Rajasthan but plan afoot to boost revenue

The Rajasthan government wants to collect revenue by selling good quality liquor and there is no proposal to ban the sale of liquor in the state.The state government clarified this in a written reply to a question in the assembly asked by the BJP MLA Madan Dilawar. SC fines 8 political parties for ‘hiding’ criminal records of candidates

The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that political parties must publish criminal records of their election candidates within 48 hours of selection, Live Law reported.
