Due to major spike in cases of Covid-19 in the United Arab Emirates, the emergency, crisis and disasters committee of Abu Dhabi has tightened entry requirements. The committee said that from December 30, vaccinated individuals will need a green status on the Alhosn App on their phones, while the unvaccinated will need a negative RT-PCR test result received within 96 hours to enter Abu Dhabi. Till now, the UAE has reported nearly 755,000 cases, 2,160 fatalities and 742,565 recoveries due to Covid-19. The active cases stand at 10,186. After covid-19 cases were reported inside the bio-secure bubble in Kolkata  the Hero I-League has suspended for two weeks. According to report,at least 15 players have tested positive for the virus. In addition to that eight more players from seven other teams who have been putting up in the Kolkata hotel have tested positive for the virus. 31 patients out of 54 who were infected with the new coronavirus variant Omicron in Maharashtra till now  have been discharged from hospitals  on Monday. India logged 9,765 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours, below the 10,000-mark for sixth day in a row, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare said on Thursday morning.
