125 passengers found Covid positive on flight from Italy to Amritsar

As many as 125 passengers that have arrived in Amritsar on a chartered Italy-Amritsar flight have tested positive for Covid-19, said airport authorities on Thursday. There were 179 passengers on the Italy-Amritsar flight, said VK Seth, Airport Director. First Omicron death reported in India

On Thursday Maharashtra confirmed that a 52-year-old omicron patient died of heart attack at Yashwantrao Chavan Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad, but stopped short of calling him the first casualty of the variant and attributed the death to his health conditions.
