World Health Organization warns people about Omicron not being common cold

Reports that Omicron has symptoms alike  to that of  common cold, the WHO on Wednesday, warned  strictly that it is not a common cold and should not be taken casually. The four most common symptoms of the Omicron are cough, fatigue, congestion and runny nose, stated by a US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis. A recent study by UK-based Zoe Covid app added nausea and loss of appetite to the symptoms. 4.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 struck Pithoragarh district midnight on Thursday but no damage has been reported. The earthquake occurred at 12.39 am had its epicentre at a depth of 10 km in Askot, District Disaster Management Officer Bhupendra Mahar said.  "No damage has been reported so far as the earthquake was of mild intensity," Mahar said. On Wednesday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Southeast of Portblair in the early hours. According to NCS, the tremors of the earthquake had a depth of 100 kilometres and occurred at around 5.31 am.

Due to major spike in cases of Covid-19 in the United Arab Emirates, the emergency, crisis and disasters committee of Abu Dhabi has tightened entry requirements. The committee said that from December 30, vaccinated individuals will need a green status on the Alhosn App on their phones, while the unvaccinated will need a negative RT-PCR test result received within 96 hours to enter Abu Dhabi.
