Naseeruddin Shah’s comments on RRR, Pushpa spark controversy

Naseeruddin Shah admitted that he couldn’t sit through SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. The actor, who is known not to mince his words, said he understands the thrill that this kind of movie brings to the audience. However, he cannot be part of the crowd, admitting that he does not regularly watch these films. The statement came days after Naseeruddin spoke out against The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story.

Talking to We Are Yuvaa YouTube channel, Naseeruddin said, “I am sure because I have a lot of faith in the younger generation and I think they are much more evolved, much more aware and much more aware than us. Apart from thrills, I can’t imagine what else one gets from watching such films. I tried to see RRR, but couldn’t. I tried to see Pushpa, but couldn’t.”

“Although I have seen a Mani Ratnam film, completely, because he is a very skilled filmmaker and has no agenda. And I can’t imagine anything other than thrilling or feeding the emotions hidden inside you. A feeling of happiness that often lasts for several days after viewing. I can’t imagine. I will never go to watch film like this,” he added.
