Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday administered the oath to newly elected members Ravichandra Bhaddirajhu and Aneel Prasad Hegde.
Vaddiraju was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Telangana to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Banda Prakash.
Hegde was elected from Bihar to fill the vacancy after the death of Mahendra Prasad.
Ravichandra Bhaddi Raju took oath in Telugu, while Hegde took oath in Hindi.
While Naidu’s visit will be the first by an Indian Vice President to all three countries, it marks the first high-level visit from India to Gabon and Senegal.
