Medhavi Skills University (MSU) inaugurated the Skill Hub for International Employment (SHINE) on September 12, 2023, at Manan Kendra, Sikkim, to empower the youth of Sikkim through international employment. The event, graced by the presence of, Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang, marks a significant milestone for the university and the state.
SHINE, a partnership between MSU and Sikkim’s Government, aims to provide skill-integrated higher education and upskilling to Sikkim’s youth, preparing them for overseas mobility and ensuring their capabilities align with the global workforce’s demands, thereby enhancing their international employability.
The SHINE Project Centre in Sikun and Medhavi Poly Diagnostic Centre in Topakhani were inaugurated in a virtual ceremony to offer affordable medical testing to Sikkim residents. Medhavi Skills University, in collaboration with employers and vocational institutions from Germany, Australia, Japan, and the Philippines, will provide comprehensive training in foreign languages, cultural adaptation, and technical competencies for specific employment fields. Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor of Medhavi Skills University, expressed his enthusiasm stating, “We’re here to open doors to international opportunities and illuminate the path to success. With boundless enthusiasm, we embrace this vision of making Sikkim a hub of higher education, where aspirations know no bounds.”
