MSDE in collaboration with GIF and AWS trains 1500 aspirants in cloud skills

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), in collaboration with Generation India Foundation (GIF) and Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) is providing cloud skills training to 1,500 learners and connecting them to employment opportunities, under project AMBER. The initiative has been undertaken under the SANKALP programme of MSDE with a focus on women to improve gender diversification in the tech industry and underprivileged groups.

The growing trend of increasing women’s interest in digital skills training requires a collaborative approach between industry and government. Projects like AMBER, a joint initiative between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and GIF, aim to empower women with online resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Co-funded by MSDE and private philanthropy, AMBER aims to train 30,000 youth, with 50% of them being women. Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “We are deeply invested in building capabilities in areas that are evolving due to demographic transitions and technological changes such as Industry 4.0 and Web 3.0. I believe outcome-based skills training initiatives like Project AMBER will help tap the enormous potential of India’s youth.”
