MSDE held a dialogue with a German delegation visiting India

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) hosted a dialogue with the delegation from Germany visiting India, led by State Secretary, German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), Ms. Leonie Gebers. The objective of the dialogue was to extend further co-operation between the two countries in the areas of skill development and pave pathways for mobility of skilled workforce from India to Germany.

The dialogue centered the discussion on harnessing India’s skilled workforce to address workforce shortages in Germany. The German Bundestag’s new immigration law, which is set to take effect this year, outlines three pathways for immigration: qualifications, experience, and workforce potential. These pathways are formalized through the EU Blue Card, Experience Card, and Opportunity Card, respectively.

This highlights the importance of qualifications, experience, and workforce potential in immigration. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) said, “We are actively preparing Indian candidates for global mobility and Germany is a country of focus for us. I am confident that this dialogue with the German delegation will pave new pathways and strengthen our partnership ever more”.
