In cooperation with the Automotive Sector Development Council, GIZ-IGVET, and Maharashtra State Skill Development Mission, the MSDE carried out a cluster-based Training of Trainers program. The final 4 batches consisting of 98 trainers were certified through a convocation ceremony organized by ASDC in Pune. The ToT program covered trades such as Advanced Welding, CNC operations, Robotics, Quality Control, and Advanced Automotive Technology.
Developed as part of the SANKALP, the trainers received certification from the Automotive Sector Development Council and IGCC. It strengthened the public-private partnership in TVET, upgrading technical and pedagogical skills, and bridged the skills gap by involving industry members in curriculum development. It is an integral part of the Skill India mission to build a competent and robust workforce across various sectors, multiplying the impact of skill development initiatives.
The certification ceremony was attended by Shri Nilambuj Sharan, CEO of Automotive Skills Development Council, Dr. Rodney Reviere, Meenu Sarawgi, EVP & Chief – Strategy & Operations ASDC, Rama Shankar Pandey, Suresh Londhe, Sachin Jadhav, Maharashtra State Skill Development Society and Sagar D. Shinde, Director of Sukhakarta General Engineering Cluster Pvt. Ltd. (SGECPL). Mr. Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ASDC said, “ By continuously enhancing the skills of the workforce, we can drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence within the sector.”
