The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has rolled out a pioneering strategy aimed at revolutionizing trainer development within the skilling ecosystem. Dubbed the ‘Trainers Strategy for Skilling Ecosystems’, this initiative marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s quest for a skilled workforce aligned with the demands of the 21st-century economy.
At the heart of this strategy lies a collaborative effort between the MSDE and its partner, the Future Right Skills Network (FRSN), to equip trainers with the requisite skills and technology. Emphasizing the imperative of digitalization, the framework prioritizes enhancing digital literacy among trainers and integrating digital blended content into classroom learning, thereby ensuring learners are prepared for the evolving market dynamics.Key recommendations from the strategy, drafted by FRSN, include tackling staffing and training capacity gaps, addressing the shortage of qualified trainers in TVET, and reducing trainer attrition through recognition and upskilling.
Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of MSDE, hailed the initiative as a milestone in collaborative efforts between government, industry, and academia.Aakash Sethi, CEO of Quest Alliance, emphasized the importance of preparing trainers to meet industry demands, stating that integrating digital content into learning environments will not only bridge existing gaps but also foster a more dynamic skilling ecosystem.
