Optum competes in the Hyderabad Marathon with unprecedented employee participation. On August 27, 2023, around 1005 Optum workers participated in the Hyderabad Marathon. The squad was made up of 841 men and 164 women. The squad ran the 42-kilometer full marathon, the 21-kilometer half marathon, as well as the 10- and 5-kilometer events. Every year, in preparation for this event, LiveWell, Optum’s comprehensive employee well-being program, assisted workers on their fitness journeys by providing expert nutrition, fitness, and coaching advice. On August 6, 2023, Optum will also sponsor a practice run.
