Mizoram’s Tourism Minister Lalrinpuii, along with Secretary of Tourism Dr. Lalrozama, met with a delegation from Delhi-based company Artsignia Innovations at the Mizoram Secretariat on Monday. The meeting focused on strategies to enhance Mizoram’s economy, with a major emphasis on tourism development.
Abhilash Sriram Sridhar, Business Director of Artsignia, shared his vision of transforming Mizoram into a tourism hub, likening it to India’s own Genting Highlands. He discussed initiatives such as converting waste into art, modernizing museums to preserve local culture, and creating sustainable hotels and resorts using resources from local tribes, manufacturers, and farmers.
Pankaj Sharma, Director of Artsignia, emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to promote Mizoram tourism across India. The discussions also explored innovative programs aimed at increasing tourist inflow. The Artsignia team visited the Freedom Fighters’ Museum and Tribal Research Institute, providing suggestions for enhancing these attractions.
