Mizoram’s Cherry Blossom Tourism Event Sees Overwhelming Public Response

A tourism event named ‘Tlaizawng Paradise’ is taking place in Phuaibuang village, Saitual district, Mizoram, highlighting the cherry blossom, locally known as ‘Tlaizawng’. The two-day event includes adventure activities such as cave exploration, mountain hiking, and mass angling, with around 600 participants in a mega angling event on the Tuivai river. Inaugurated by Mizoram Assembly Speaker Lalbiakzama, the event aims to boost tourism, enhance the local economy, and promote conservation. Local artisans showcase handicraft and handloom products, and cultural performances are held, supporting eco-tourism and local livelihoods.
