Mizoram hosts 8th Northeast Mini Jamboree with 300 participants from across India

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the 8th Northeast Mini Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides on Saturday at the Mizoram State Training Centre in Tanhril. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 300 delegates from across the country.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister extended a warm welcome to the participants and expressed hope that the Jamboree would foster unity and joy among attendees. He highlighted the significance of service in the Scouts and Guides movement, quoting founder Lord Baden-Powell: “True happiness is to bring happiness to others.”

Dr. KK Khandelwal, Chief National Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, lauded the Mizoram chapter for its contributions to the movement. He announced that Chief Minister Lalduhoma would soon receive the prestigious Silver Elephant Award for his support. The event also featured speeches by Pu H. Lalhmingthanga, Mizoram State Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, and Pu Amar B. Chettri, Executive Director of Bharat Scouts and Guides. The Mini Jamboree, running until November 28, will showcase diverse activities aimed at promoting teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of community service.
