Mizoram Governor Holds Interaction with C3S Team

During a visit to Mizoram, Governor General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.) engaged with a multi-disciplinary team from the Centre for Contemporary China Studies (CCCS), emphasizing the importance of understanding local dynamics for informed policy-making. He highlighted Mizoram’s agriculture-based economy, current revenue deficit, and steady infrastructure development. Singh praised the state’s organization and peace, noting the historic inclusion of Aizawl on India’s railway map, which will connect to the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project. He also mentioned the Vibrant Villages Programme for border infrastructure development. The CCCS team, led by Joint Secretary Aparna Ray, is in Mizoram to gain insights into the local context along the Indo-Myanmar border.
