The Momentum Routine Immunization project, in collaboration with the Government of Mizoram, recently organized a remarkable “Learning and Experience Sharing Meeting” in the esteemed presence of Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Minister of Health, Mizoram, who praised the efforts of the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization project in successfully reaching even the most challenging and remote areas with COVID-19 vaccinations. The meeting acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the project and its partners, Mission Foundation Movement (MFM) and Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA).
The event was attended by state government officials, beneficiaries, and influential members of the community, who shared their experiences of the project. The Project partnered with local change agents, NGOs, ANM workers, and others to mobilize communities and increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake among vulnerable and marginalized population groups.
It also complemented the efforts of the State Government and engaged local non-governmental organizations to maximize reach, build vaccine confidence, and increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake. Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Minister of Health, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Mizoram State government and The Project shared,“The collaboration proved to be instrumental in enhancing the team’s capabilities and empowering them to carry out a vaccination campaign of this magnitude.”
