Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma held an important meeting today with Prof. Fauzia A.A. Arshi, the Managing Director of FA Airlines at his office in Aizawl. The main purpose of the meeting was to explore how the state government and FA Airlines could work together, especially in starting cargo flight services in Mizoram. During the meeting, the Chief Minister welcomed the idea and appreciated the airline’s interest in Mizoram. He said that starting cargo services would be a big help for the state. He explained that Mizoram produces many organic items that are unique and in high demand and cargo flights could help export these products to other parts of the country and even abroad.
The Chief Minister also said that if FA Airlines presents a clear and detailed proposal, the state government will look at it seriously and consider it positively. He added that Mizoram is always open to ideas that support development and benefit the local people, especially farmers and entrepreneurs who deal with organic products. The airline’s proposal is now officially acknowledged by the Mizoram Government. Later today, the detailed proposal will be shared with Vanlaldina Fanai, who is the Commissioner to the Chief Minister. He also heads important departments like the General Administration Department (GAD) and Finance. The proposal will also be studied by other senior officials from these departments.
Prof. Fauzia Arshi, on her part, expressed her interest in helping Mizoram grow. She said that FA Airlines is not only looking at starting cargo services but also wants to help improve air connectivity for travelers. According to her, this will make it easier for people to visit Mizoram and also make it easier for local businesses to send their products outside the state. She also that FA Airlines is willing to contribute to the development of Aizawl city. She mentioned that they might even help in building a new urban area or modern township if the state government is interested. The meeting was attended by senior government officials, including Vanlaldina Fanai, who played an important role in the discussions.
