Mizoram CM seeks growth opportunities from NITI Aayog visit

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with NITI Aayog member Dr. Vinod Kumar Paul at Aijal Club on February 26, emphasizing the opportunities and benefits the state could gain from the high-level visit. The meeting, attended by Mizoram’s council of ministers, senior officials, and NITI Aayog representatives, focused on key developmental initiatives. Lalduhoma expressed confidence that NITI Aayog’s engagement would drive innovation and economic growth in Mizoram.

Dr. VK Paul reaffirmed NITI Aayog’s commitment to Viksit Bharat 2047, praising Mizoram for achieving India’s lowest infant mortality rate in the past two years. He highlighted the state’s potential for sustainable development through digital transformation, aspirational districts, and innovation-driven programs.

As part of the visit, Dr. VK Paul will launch the Northeast Chapter of NITI Aayog’s Women Empowerment Programme (WEP) at Mizoram University on February 27, followed by a workshop on women’s development and innovation.
