Mizoram CM Lalduhoma reshuffles portfolios to strengthen governance

Mizoram’s Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government, led by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, has reshuffled the portfolios of seven ministers, reallocating key responsibilities to enhance governance. The changes were announced through a notification issued by Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena and took effect on March 24.

Key Portfolio Changes:

Disaster Management and Rehabilitation has been transferred to Minister of State Professor Lalnilawma, who already oversees Rural Development and Public Health Engineering.

Home Minister K Sapdanga relinquished Disaster Management but retained Home, and gained Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, along with Personnel & Administrative Reforms.

Tourism has been reassigned to Minister of State Lalnghinglova Hmar, taking over from Lalrinpuii, who will now focus on Health, Social Welfare, and Women & Child Development.

Horticulture has been given to Cabinet Minister C Lalsawivunga, who also manages Art & Culture, District Council & Minority Affairs, and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary.

The Information and Public Relations Department has been merged with Printing and Stationery, forming a new Information, Public Relations, Printing, and Stationery Department, now overseen by Cabinet Minister Vanlalhlana, who continues to hold Education and ICT portfolios.

Minister of State F Rodingliana has relinquished Printing and Stationery and will now focus on Power & Electricity and Commerce & Industries.
