Meera Chopra is accused of using the fake ID to get vaccinated

Meera Chopra is accused of using the fake ID to get vaccinated as a ‘frontline worker’. She falls in the 18-44 age group. Maharashtra has suspended vaccination for the age-group over shortage of doses. She had uploaded a photograph on social media of herself getting the shot. The photograph has since been deleted but others, showing an “ID card” identifying her as a ‘frontline worker’, emerged. Ms Chopra has denied the allegations, saying “the ID floating on social media is not mine”. The opposition BJP has claimed Ms Chopra was given a photo ID identifying her as a ‘supervisor’ at a private firm, which allowed her to get vaccinated on a priority basis. Thane Municipal Commissioner Vipin Sharma has ordered an inquiry, under the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (health) to find out if this woman actor got vaccinated out of turn.
